If you are an aspiring entrepreneur looking to launch a small home business, then you’re in luck! The year 2011 is just ripe for you to take advantage of. The economy is slowly picking up and there are countless of viable industries that can be penetrated. Now if you are still unsure if there is much to look forward to in terms of entrepreneurial ventures, consider this business fact.

The global recession was met with greater business creation than any other prosperous year before. This can be attributed to the reality that more business slots were opened up and that there are more needs that require addressing. According to the Challenger, Gray & Christmas’ job market index, the second quarter of 2009 found an 8.7% increase in employment through entrepreneurship, which was significantly higher than last quarter of 2008 – which was only had 2.7%.

Hence, there’s no point in dilly-dallying whether or not you should or should not begin as soon as possible. The point of your contemplation now should be – what small home business you should begin with. To assist you in that area, here are a few insights on the possible 2011 business trends:

• Green is gold. A lot of people today have grown conscious of the environments health and are willing to invest in products that are eco-friendly. Get into the spirit by creating products and services aimed at preserving the environment – anything from selling recycled materials or using non toxic substances in the goods and services you render.

• No one wants to grow old and sick. People have developed an insatiable appetite for youth and health that they are willing to spend in order to subtract a few years and a few ailments from their faces and bodies. This is why it is lucrative for any aspiring entrepreneur to engage in products and services that are able to renew looks and physical form. You can sell creams, medicines, surgeries, exercise, diet – anything that would hamper to the aging and (with hope) dying process.

• More for less. The discount market has been thriving exponentially since the economic crisis mainly because people want to save. This is understandable. If you engage in a business that offers more for less, then you are bound to attract hoards of interested buyers.

• Let’s get more local. Maybe it’s a growing nationalism or appreciation of the quality of local goods, but a lot of consumers today have become more inclined to buy local products than exported goods. Be a business that capitalizes on this new movement and not only earn but also gain respect.

• Outsourcing. This encompasses different fields, from customer service to internet marketing and now, home management as well. Professionals who want to earn more spend less time at home. This makes cleaning, organizing, cooking and attending to chores more challenging. If you offer a service that addresses this difficulty in another person’s life, you’d be able to hit a goldmine.

• People love their pets. So much so that they invest a lot for their care. Start a small home business that covers grooming, caring and training pets – like a daycare, only for dogs and cats. You’ll have neighbors knocking at your door in no time.

The business model of Small scale businesses is substantially different from both the medium and the large scale type of businesses. As a result small scale business owners need to choose the banking options that are suitable for them and the operations of their businesses. A good banking option is one that is flexible, reliable and offers ease of use and can be depended upon to offer financial support and advice when needed. This last factor is particularly important for a business person to take into consideration because the kind of relationship that a bank offers will determine whether or not you can have upward mobility in your business. Thus a bank that will take the time to know you and the structure of your business is the best bank to establish your relations with.

As a small scale business person you want to factor in the reputation that bank has. This is especially true given the banking crisis that is being experienced currently. It is not always the case that the biggest banks are the best to bank with even though they are the most dominant financial institutions. So size should not be the factor here, what is crucial is the transparency with which they operate with and the value they give their customers. Sometimes smaller banks offer better rates and banking benefits than do the larger ones for small scale businesses. In fact most of these are founded on the mission of being more accessible and open to those with small businesses.

What are the banking options that the bank offers for small scale businesses in terms of flexibility and interest rates? There are a myriad of accounts that you can choose to open for your business and all these have benefits that may be unknown to you. So seek the advice of your banker to find the account that will allow for the expansion of your business and one whose rates are flexible enough.
